FEARING’S “Spectacular” is the only adjective that can describe a recent repast at this temple of culinary creativity. Imagine a slab of tender lamb pounded to micro-thinness, coated with an herby breading, and then chicken-fried in the best of Texas traditions. This latest dish of Dean Fearing’s will no doubt become a staple. Grown-up butterscotch in a highball glass with a dab of pecan toffee ice cream and glazed apple fritters left us purring with contentment.
